Two years after landing in Spain, I designed my first event and soon attracted a client to southern Spain, creating a niche for eco-conscious weddings. Fast forward a few years, and I was interviewed by Vogue for my sustainable designs.
When I moved to Spain in autumn 2012, I had no contacts, no friends or family, and just enough money to pay the next month's rent. All I had was an idea.
People said no one was interested in eco-conscious weddings or that my ideal client didn't exist. But I proved them wrong. I worked hard, manifested my dreams, and became one of the highest-paid wedding designers in Spain. I've increased my services by 1000% and design budgets by 500%.
